
Pichai Sundararajan or Sundar Picha (Indian-American business executive) is better known. [6] He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.Born in Madurai in India, Pichai obtained his degree from IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. After moving to the United States, Pichai earned an M.S. from Stanford University in materials science and engineering and further attained an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in which he was named a Siebel Scholar and an Palmer Scholar, respectively.Pchai began his career as a materials engineer. Following a short stint working for the management consulting firm McKinsey and Co., Pichai joined Google in 2004 and managed the product management as well as development efforts for a variety of Google's client software products that included Google Chrome as well as ChromeOS as well as being largely responsible for Google Drive. Pichai also managed the creation of Google Maps, Gmail, as well as other applications. Pichai launched WebM in 2010, and also announced the open-sourcing of the new codec for video VP8 by Google. 2012 saw the debut of Chromebook. Pichai was the director of the development of Android in 2012, also added Android to his list of Google products.
