Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. Her discography covers diverse genres. Swift's songwriting, often influenced by her personal life and received critical praise. Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania and moved to Nashville when she was 14 years old. In 2004 Swift signed a songwriting arrangement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. She also signed a recording agreement with Big Machine Records. The self-titled debut album she released in 2006 marked Swift as the first female country artist to release an album that was U.S.-certified platinum. Swift's subsequent albums, Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010), explored the country genre of pop. The songs "Love Story" and "You Belong with me" from the former were the first songs to have top of the U.S. all-genre and pop charts. Red (2012) featured the debut Billboard Hot 100 song number one, "We Are Never Ever Going back Together". The singer discarded her image as a country singer and dropped 1989 (2014) which was a synth-pop album that included the chart-topping songs "Shake It off", "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood". Reputation is a hip-hop album with the number-one hit "Look at What You Did to Me" Me Do", was inspired by media scrutiny. After leaving Big Machine, Swift signed with Republic Records in 2018 and released her seventh studio album, Lover (2019), followed by the autobiographical documentary Miss Americana (2020). In her 2020 albums Folklore and Red, Swift delved into alternative and indie rock. The songs "Cardigan", "Willow", and "Willow," topped the Hot 100. Following a dispute with her masters Swift began to re-record six of her albums. Swift re-released two of them in 2021: Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red. The longest-running track on the Hot 100 was "All Too Well (10 Minute version)". Records for streaming all time were broken by her 2022 album Midnights, and the single "Anti-Hero". Swift has also directed music videos and films, including All Too Well: the Short Film (2021), as well as playing supporting roles in many others. Swift is among the most well-known musicians of all time. Swift is the most streamed artist on Spotify. Her five albums have had over 1 million copies sold across the US. Her accolades include 12 Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year winners; an Emmy Award; 39 American Music Awards and 29 Billboard Music Awards. She is also the holder of 92 Guinness World Records. Swift has been included in such lists as Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Songwriters of All time; Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists; Forbes Celebrity 100; and Billboard's 100 Greatest of All Time Artists. Swift has been awarded the titles of Artist of the Decade as well as Woman of the Decade. She is a strong advocate for women's empowerment as well as artists' rights.
